Dr. Megan Murphy

Dr. Murphy grew up on a small ranch near Granbury, TX with a variety of animals. Following her life-long desire to become a veterinarian, she began working in veterinary hospitals at the age of fifteen and attended Texas A&M University where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Biomedical Science prior to attending veterinary school.

Dr. Murphy joined the staff at Brown Trail Animal Hospital upon graduating from the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 2011. During veterinary school, she served on her class counsel as Student-Faculty Liaison and Secretary. She is an Aggie through and through, enjoying the rich traditions of the campus and, of course, Fightin' Texas Aggie football.

Although client education is one of her favorite aspects of veterinary medicine, she particularly enjoys internal medicine, dentistry, dermatology, and soft tissue surgery. Dr. Murphy is a member of the American, Texas, and Tarrant County Veterinary Medical Associations.

Dr. Murphy and her husband, Jonathan, have two young daughters. They share their home with an Aussie mix, Sadie, who embodies Peter Pan’s Nana and is a sweet, social butterfly. They also have an orange tabby, Abner, who spends his days sunbathing and begging for food. In her spare time, Dr. Murphy enjoys archery, kayaking, hiking, country dancing, and hanging out with her tiny humans.
