Pet Laser Therapy in Bedford
Alternative Medicine to Treat Your Pet’s Pain
Alternative modalities for pain management and healing are important to the team at Brown Trail Animal Hospital. We have been utilizing laser therapy since 2012 when Dr. Weicht attended an intensive continuing education seminar on pain management, one of his special interests in the veterinary field. Our team is committed to providing well-rounded pain management services for our patients.

What Is Laser Therapy?
Laser therapy uses concentrated light, administering doses of laser energy to stimulate healing cells in the body. The result is a reduction of pain, decrease of inflammation, and an increase in circulation to the treated area, resulting in accelerated healing.
Laser therapy is often used in conjunction with Western medical techniques. We often prescribe laser therapy when we believe that our patients will benefit from the additional treatment.
Laser therapy is used to provide treatment or relief from the following and more:
- Hip dysplasia
- Post-operative pain
- Fracture healing
- Lick granulomas
- Aural hematomas
- Intervertebral disc disease
