Overview

There are a number of ways to celebrate and memorialize your beloved pet. Whether you decide to hold a simple service, or want something more to celebrate the life of your animal companion, we are here to help you through this difficult time.

Why would my pet need funeral & memorial care?

The goal of funeral and memorial services are to help pet owners along in the process of grieving for a beloved pet that has passed on.

When is funeral & memorial care appropriate?

We all wish our pets could live forever, but unfortunately there comes a time where we have to say goodbye. The grief process varies from person to person, however, many experts believe that holding some type of ceremony or ritual helps us cope with the loss of our treasured animal companions.

How is funeral & memorial care structured?

There’s no one size fits all to planning a funeral or memorial ceremony. Your ceremony can be as elaborate or as simple as you like it to be. However, there are some common elements that many people like to include in their services: Candle Lighting Ceremonies, Prayers and Blessings, Poems, Readings, Songs, Sharing of Memories, Memorial Photographs and Videos, and a Closing Goodbye.

Depending on your location, your ceremony options may vary. You may be able to hold a simple backyard ceremony at home, engage the services of a pet funeral home, or even a regular funeral home if there’s not a pet home near you. Services may include different burial options (burial, cremation, caskets, urns, and even grave markers).

Pet Memorial

The team at Brown Trail Animal Hospital understands that your pet is your family. We are honored to pay respect to the beloved animal friends who have passed. We provide this pet memorial page so that you can create a lasting tribute to your beloved pet.

We feel that it is important to pay homage to our pets, and also to help pets that are currently in need. By purchasing a memorial tag for your pet, including name and endearment, you will be doing both. 95% of your purchase will go into our Goode Benevolent Fund, a clinic fund that helps sick and injured pets when their owners are unable to do so. Please contact our team for more information.
